Highlights.

 ​Muyumi Kanki Kichwa Cultural Center is an indigenous-led organization in Cotacachi focused on the revitalization of Kichwa culture and language through courses, workshops, research, and advocacy.  The extraordinary Kichwa indigenous culture is in danger of disappearing. Muyumi Kanki recently produced a full-length documentary film “Sapikuna” about the history of the indigenous rights movement. Workshops focus on introducing and teaching Kichwa culture and language to Cotacachi area youth using art as a medium.

Our Project Partners are committed, talented community organizations that demonstrate ingenuity, a collective mindset, and innovation. Wichana Foundation supports Project Partners by providing technical assistance, particularly in project management resources and fundraising platforms.
