In May and June 2025, the Wichana Foundation collaborated with the Kichwa Cultural Center Muyumi Kanki to prepare for IntiRaymi celebrations. They focused on empowering women and children in Cotacachi’s indigenous communities through musical education and workshops on traditional rituals. Additionally, a photographic exhibition on IntiRaymi was launched in Cotacachi, aiming to connect rural and urban audiences—including expats and tourists—with the cultural richness of the region.

The foundation also conducted vital medical and dental brigades, particularly in the remote Cuyabeno area of the Amazon and the Pastaza province. These initiatives addressed pressing issues like malnutrition among children and lack of basic healthcare access. They plan to expand this work with nutritional education and regular supplement delivery. Partnerships with organizations like Kinray Hub and Vozandes Foundation enabled broader medical support, including ENT services in Cotacachi.

Cultural and educational efforts were further boosted with the release of a bilingual children’s book "Atuk" in Kichwa and Spanish, aimed at preserving the endangered Kichwa language. While the "It’s About Children" project has concluded, Wichana remains committed to advancing education and cultural identity through activities like community library programs. They emphasize the importance of sustained financial support to continue these impactful initiatives.
