Our Projects

The Wichana Foundation is raising funds for the Mojandita Curubi Health Center, for the Muyumi Kanki Kichwa Cultural Center in Cotacachi and for K'allam'p. If you hover over the Projects tab on the menu above you can navigate to each project's page.

You can designate that your contribution go to support the Mojandita Curubi Health Center, the Muyumi Kanki Kichwa Cultural Center, or K'allam'p.

The donate button will take you to our Paypal donation site. If you prefer, you can donate by check or by cash in the US or Ecuador. In the US, mail your check made out to Wichana Foundation at 17 N Cottenet St. Irvington NY 10533. Please note if you have a preferred project for your donation. For information on how to make cash donations or donations in Ecuador, please email info@wichana.org.

ABOUT US >

The Wichana Foundation was started in the fall of 2019 by Peter Bernstein, Sarah Cox and Urku Yucharik to support community-based programs in Ecuador that benefit the health, education and culture of community members. Our current primary projects are; supporting the Mojandita Curubi Centro de Salud, a rural health center just outside of Otavalo; supporting the newly formed Muyumi Kanki Kichwa Cultural Center, in Cotacachi, that focuses on teaching Kichwa (the local indigenous language) to community members, and: supporting K'allam'p, an organization that teaches sustainable agriculture, health and nutrition to indigenous communities. We are a US tax-exempt organization (501(c)(3)) so contributions are tax deductible as permitted by applicable law.
